Siemens issued digital bonds on the blockchain
Siemens has issued the first blockchain-based digital bonds denominated in euros, according to a company press release.
The maturity is one year, the amount is 60 million euros.
It is noted that the bonds can be sold directly to investors without involving the bank as an intermediary.
The issuance of blockchain-based digital bonds has become possible in Germany since the entry into force of the Electronic Securities Law in June 2021.
